Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully. By accessing or using the Site or any Venturism programs or services (including donations, volunteer applications, partnership inquiries, events/workshops, and newsletter subscriptions), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or services.

1) Use of the Site & Services

You agree to use the Site and services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

  • Provide false, misleading, or unauthorized information.

  • Upload or transmit harmful code, attempt to breach security, or interfere with the Site.

  • Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the Site or its software.

  • Infringe on any third party’s rights or violate applicable laws or regulations.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or misuse.

2) Programs & Services

A. Donations & Fundraising

Donations are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal). Recurring donations continue until you cancel. Receipts/acknowledgments are provided electronically.
Tax status: Venturism is applying for 501(c)(3) recognition. Until IRS approval, donations are not guaranteed to be tax-deductible. We will update donors once confirmed.

Refunds: Because donations support our mission immediately, donations are generally nonrefundable. If you made an error, contact us promptly and we’ll review in good faith.

B. Volunteer Opportunities

By submitting a volunteer application, you represent that the information is accurate and that we may contact you. Placement is not guaranteed; background checks or onboarding steps may apply depending on role.

C. Partnerships

Partnership inquiries help us evaluate collaboration opportunities. We may, at our discretion, propose a plan or decline an engagement.

D. Events & Workshops

Event details (format, dates, speakers) may change. We may set codes of conduct; we reserve the right to remove participants who violate them. Materials may be recorded for educational or promotional purposes; we will disclose when recording occurs.

E. Digital Resources & Tools

From time to time, we may offer resources, templates, or simple digital tools. These are educational only and do not guarantee outcomes (e.g., employment).

F. Newsletter & Communications

If you subscribe, you consent to receive periodic emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3) Accounts (If/When Available)

If the Site offers accounts, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login and for all activity under your account.

4) Payments & Billing

Payments (including donations, event fees, or other charges) are processed by third-party providers. We do not store full payment card details. Auto-renewing charges (e.g., recurring donations) continue until canceled.

5) Intellectual Property

The Site, including content, graphics, logos, and design elements, is owned by Venturism or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our written permission. Third-party trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.

6) User Content & License

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., messages, testimonials, applications). By submitting content, you grant Venturism a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, improve, and promote our programs and services (e.g., processing a volunteer application or showcasing a testimonial with your consent). You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate any rights or laws.

Personal information is handled per our Privacy Policy.

7) Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) use the Site for unauthorized advertising or spam; (b) collect or harvest personal data of others; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems; (d) misuse any forms or communications features; or (e) use the Site to harm or exploit others.

8) Third-Party Services & Links

We use and link to third-party services (e.g., hosting, payments, analytics, scheduling). Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices.

9) Disclaimers

THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VENTURISM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Educational resources, coaching, or tools do not constitute legal, financial, tax, medical, or professional advice and do not guarantee any particular outcome (e.g., employment).

10) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VENTURISM AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND VOLUNTEERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VENTURISM (IF ANY) FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 6 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; some of the above may not apply to you.

11) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Venturism and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site or services.

12) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability).

13) Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new Effective Date. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in El Paso County, Colorado for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site.
